I was trying to find inspiration for the
graphical style and theme of the site.
The first designs didn't have photographic elements, but eventually I believed
photography would be a nice addition to minimalistic typography.
Walking around with my camera is always inspiring because you never now what might turn up.
I wandered around Amsterdam, I took lots of pictures of the architecture
and the subway. Not only the atmosphere but also the signage and the train itself
fascinated me (I used to draw trains when I was young).

I decided to go for the underground transportation theme and refined
the concept. Lost of pictures were ok but I had to go back anyway to film the subway train and
while I was there I took more specific pictures of elements I wanted to use. The photographic and
video elements would help me to create a visual atmosphere and enhance the interactive experience
of the site. I opted for cropped photography so that only details were shown, avoiding a too literal approach.
